This Loblolly Pine resin comes from the species Pinus Taeda. We hand harvest this resin on our property from tears and resin that forms naturally from wind and storm damage. The trees form this resin to heal the wounds created from the bending of the branches in the wind. We collect the excess resins that form and fall off. It is a very limited resource and this is the only known source of this particular resin that we have ever seen. It is mostly dry tears but will sometimes be a bit soft and sticky.
